This year Indiana received an "A" rating on Realtree Antler Nation website.
This should not be a surprise for those true hoosier deer hunters who have hunted white tales here in Indiana. The state has a lot to offer in way of public land and draw hunts that is offered on state land.

I am looking forward to hopefully a productive season and a fully stocked freezer by the end of December.
I personally think Indiana has a lot to offer when it comes to deer season. I have been blessed with being able to hunt on private and public land. I love that Indiana has such great access to public ground. It takes work and effort to make your hunts a success no matter where you hunt. You may go out and not see a deer all day. But its how you adjust and how you pay attention to what you see around you as you go in and out and while you are set up. Just because you are on public land or private does mean you are going to be successful if you have put in the effort. This might mean scouting your locations in advance, cutting out shooting lanes, looking for signs that the deer may be shifting there patterns from the previous year.
