I have found that there is one type of hunting that my wife will actually go to woods with me. That is mushroom hunting. It may be because she does not have to get up early in the morning to do this. I think its because she wants to wear her rubber boots. But what ever the reason maybe, it is something we can do together. My wife and I could of not been more opposite when it comes to spending times outdoors.
One of my favorites things about getting out to hunt turkeys in the spring is the fact that it usually turns into a multiple event trip. We hunt turkeys, fish like mad men and fit some mushroom hunts in as well. Oh yeah and it usually kicks off our first camping trip of the year. So to say we are going turkey hunting is putting it lightly.
Like many others, I begin deer hunting utilizing public hunting ground. As I continued deer hunting through the years I have acquired the use of private hunting ground as well. I very much enjoy having my own private ground to deer hunt on, but I still utilize the public hunting ground when I can.
